Derby is a great place to stay and an even better place to shop!

The Derbion Shopping Centre formally The Westfield Centre is a modern purpose-built shopping mall with over 190 stores offering fashion, food, homewares, health & beauty and much more and is located just a short distance from us here at Aston Court Hotel. Stores include Debenhams, Marks and Spencer, Topshop, Oasis, La Senza, W. H. Smith, Zara, Monsoon, River Island and many more.

The largely pedestrianised St Peters Quarter boasts an array of popular High Street shops – many of which are unique to the area and a special collection of niche, family-owned businesses which attract customers from far and wide. There is a good range of High street stores lining the Victorian buildings of pedestrianised Cornmarket and Victoria Street. Babington Buildings on nearby St Peter's Street houses a large Waterstones bookshop and the new Primark store has proved very popular. 

Hidden behind the Guildhall is one of Derby's greatest treasures, Derby Market Hall which is open Monday to Saturday from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm.

A farmers' market is held in Market Place on the third Thursday of every month and a Continental market on several occasions throughout the year.
